Riverbend Retreat at Tolomato Island

Riverbend Retreat is a hidden waterfront vacation gem offering a place to unplug and relax right on the Georgia Coast.  Surrounded by history, culture, wildlife, and natural beauty, Riverbend Retreat offers birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, biking, walking, and screensaver-worthy sunsets on a peninsula covered by majestic live oaks draped with Spanish moss.

From this spacious, two-story, pet-friendly home, there are amazing views from the screened-in back porch, large deck, and back of the house.  Regardless of high or low tide, your boat will sit atop deep water 24/7 with a short dock.  The marina is only minutes away, with a lift and boat ramp where you can fuel up and purchase bait.  No boat?  No problem.  Our fishy friends can't seem to resist a snack right off the dock, known for being one of the best fishing spots in the county.  The floating dock has fold-down aluminum stairs, making access in and out of the water easy for anyone, including your pet.  The stationary dock is lighted and includes a fish cleaning station with water and electricity.

To fully enjoy the river there are four single-person kayaks, a 2 person kayak, and a lightweight canoe for guest use.  

You will quickly find that "elbow room" is no problem due to an open and spacious floor plan.  The main living area is upstairs, accessible by the stairs or motorized chair lift.  The upstairs consists of the kitchen, dining room, living room, a half bath, and the main bedroom.  For the culinarian(s) of the group, feel free to work some magic in a kitchen that includes the tools needed for cooking, an Electrolux double convection oven, and a Jenn-Air gas cooktop/grill:  perfect for preparing your catch of the day.  The dining room table provides eight seats, with an additional three seats at the counter.

After dinner, get cozy in the family room on one of our oversized couches in front of a fireplace and 55" smart flat-screen TV, or choose from a large selection of board games & puzzles to use on our 4-seat game table.

You'll find the main bedroom on the other side of the upper floor.  Also, very spacious;  the main bedroom has a sitting area with two recliners and an adjustable king-size bed.  In addition, there is a sleeper sofa, a desk, and a small library of books for the reader in your group.

Downstairs, there are two bedrooms separated by a full bath.  Each bedroom has an in-room vanity.  One bedroom has an adjustable king bed, and the other has two twin beds and a bunk bed with a twin and queen bed.  

Convenient to I-95, Savannah, Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and Jacksonville, Riverbend Retreat is ideally located and provides all that you need for relaxation, recreation, and making memories with the people you love which will last a lifetime.
